We use a small number of first-party cookies — set by fellas.org.uk itself. We do not use third-party advertising, social, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or anything similar.
What we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|---|
fls_sid |
Anonymous session ID — lets us count unique visitors per session without identifying you, and protects forms from abuse. | 2 hours | Strictly necessary |
fls_vid |
Anonymous returning-visitor identifier — used for aggregate analytics only. | 12 months | Consent (analytics) |
fl_consent |
Records your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again every visit. | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
fellas_admin |
Admin login session — only set when an authorised user logs into /admin. | Session | Strictly necessary |
PHPSESSID |
Server-side session continuity (CSRF tokens, form error replay). | Session | Strictly necessary |
"Strictly necessary" cookies are exempt from the PECR consent requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations because the site couldn't reasonably do its job without them.
Your choice
The cookie banner shown on your first visit gives you two options:
- Accept — we set
fls_vidalongside the strictly-necessary cookies, so we can see returning vs new visitors at an aggregate level. - Reject non-essential — we only set the strictly-necessary cookies;
fls_vidisn't created.
You can change your mind any time:
Browser controls
You can also clear cookies, block them, or set "Do Not Track" through your browser settings. We honour the DNT signal — if your browser sends it, we won't set the non-essential fls_vid cookie regardless of banner state.
Anything else?
If a cookie ever appears that isn't listed above, that's a bug — please tell us at coaching@stuartmullins.co.uk so we can put it right.
